What is a Business Card Printing? It is that nifty piece of paper bearing your name, your company affiliation and other contact information such as addresses, telephone numbers and Email addresses. Such a small Piece of paper can be used to attract many customers and can be used as an effective advertisement. Traditionally Business Cards were simple and minimal, containing simple black text over a white background and having no visual design. But as per today's technologic advancement, a professional Business Card Usually includes a striking and eye catching visual design of some sort and can contain different logos. Business Card printing is fairly easy and simple nowadays compared to older methods which required a lot of hard work. A Business Card printed on some form of card stock. In laymen terms a card stock is a paper which is thicker and more durable than normal writing or printing paper. A card stock is also used for post cards, playing cards and scrapbooking etc. Generally, business cards are printed on a stock that is 350 g/m² (density), 45 kg (100 lb) (weight), or 12 pt (thickness). The visual effect, Printing cost and other details may vary according to personal preferences and the method of printing. High quality business cards without full-color photographs are normally printed using spot colors on sheet-fed offset printing presses. If a Business Card logo is a different color and the text is another Color, the process is considered two-color. More colors and effects can be added depending on the Needs of the card. With the onset of digital printing, and batch printing, it is now cost effective to print business cards in full color. Full color cards or cards which contain many colors, are also printed on sheeted presses however they use the (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) four color printing process.


Apart from printing cards on paper, there are also special business cards made from different kinds of Plastic (PVC). Other extraordinary materials are metal, rubberized cards, rubber, magnets, Poker chips, wooden nickels, and even real wood. Mostly these special material business cards are of standard format and sometime have rounded corners as a visual effect. These new materials are usually common among companies who require or wish a unique and refreshing look.
